Goals Set…And First Goal MET!

  • 318- what I weighed when I found out I was pregnant (should make this one hopefully this week)
  • 299-officially out of the God-Awful 300’s!
  • 275-What I weighed when I got married to my wonderful husband.
  • 250-Midway to being out of 200’s.
  • 235-What I weighed after 1 year of dating my husband.
  • 220-What I weighed when I met my husband.
  • 199-Officially out of the dreaded 200’s!
  • 185-What I weighed when I graduated from high school.
  • 160-My ultimate goal. I do not even ever remember weighing 160 unless it was in middle school on my way up in weight.

That is right FitGirl followers!  I have successfully crossed off my first goal!  This week marked 4 weeks on my program and overall lifestyle changes including exercise.  Here are the stats from my 1 month visit today:

Pounds lost this week: 5 lbs

Pounds lost so far: 17 lbs

Current Weight: 316.5 lbs

Inches Lost: 16 inches overall entire body

Decreased BMI: From 52 to 49

To say I am thrilled is an understatement.  This dedication and willpower is working!  I have not strayed from my diet 1 single time during this 4 week period, not once.  These results and my commitment to these changes have given me some amazing momentum going into month 2.  I hope to achieve my second goal this month.  I have my eye on the prize…not pies.  Forget “I will do this”…”I am doing this!”

Below is a day one versus day 30 picture comparison.

Side note: Just know that sharing full body shots of myself shows how much I love you all and how committed I am to opening myself up for humility and self growth purposes.  This is much harder than just sharing numbers on a scale.  Plus who doesn’t love before and after shots!

I am not happy with the person that I see in either picture because neither of these is the real me.  These are distorted versions of the person I really am on the inside.  The journey continues to free that Fit Girl from her Fat Girl prison!

    Well done! I’m at a frustrating and dangerous point right now. I’ve met my all of my goals except the last one. I’m at the weight I was when I considered myself at my peak of physical fitness, but i have less muscle and more fat than I did back then. I’m comfortable where I am currently, so its easy to relax a little on my program. I will never go back to the lifestyle that led me to the point I was 5 months ago, but i will never lose the final ten pounds if I don’t work harder and lower my calorie intake by a couple hundred. My motivation to jog is all but gone with the weather the way it is. I’m not really sure how to get over the slump.

      Have you thought about kettlebells? We are going to get a couple of kettlebells soon to use on these hellacious heat stroke inducing days. It is supposed to give you a full body workout similar to what running does, but with a weight/strength building component. That might also help with the muscle to fat ratio issue you are having.       They have some decent ones at Walmart online that would be a minimal investment to try them out. Regardless, I hope you find your push out of the slump. Just try some different things out until you find you hot as hell workout routine!
