Blackjack!

Our “first date” since baby!

Today was quite a hot, but lovely day.

I went on a “date” with my husband. I got a new kettlebell, and I was down 4 lbs this week!

The 4 pound drop has my total weight loss for week 5 at a whopping 21lbs!  I have faith that my new found obsession with strength training is going to only help this number continue to go down, along with reshaping my body.

Better than seeing the scale read that I am down 21 lbs, and better than seeing my clothes fit looser, is having my husband tell me that I am glowing.  I also adore when he puts his hands on my waist, that he looks at me in amazment and tells me how much he can tell my body is changing.  My husband has never looked at me with anything less than love and attraction since the day I met him.  My increasing size over the years has never bothered him, except for seeing how it bothers me.

I know and hold dear that he will always love me and think I am “hot” no matter my size.  Having this kind of unconditional love makes this journey so much easier.  There is no pressure from him, just love and support.

My daughter is my motivation and my husband is my strength.  I am feeling especially mushy and lucky today.  I blame the date today.  I am obviously easy considering after only one date I turned into a gushing girl. 🙂

So here is to 21 pounds down, my new kettlebell (eek) and a phenomenal support system.

Great day all around it seems! As you get into your kettlebell work, check out some of Tracy Reifkind’s vids. She did a feature on our page as well.

Congrats on your weight loss this week! Keep strong. I am so happy that your husband is so loving & supportive, you are truly blest. My family is not so supportive of my journey. In fact my husband has yet to acknowledge my weight loss. My strength & support has been my trainer & my co-workers. That being said, I let NOTHING get in my way. I will reach goal. Have a wonderful week.
