My Humps…My Incredible Shrinking Humps

28 Jul

Weekly weigh in time again!  Let me preface my weekly results by saying that the last two weeks have been difficult for me.  I went from losing steadily to gaining one week and barely losing half a pound the next.

This is a common place in the diet/exercise merry go round.  The plateau, the hurdle, the stall out, the stand still…whatever you want to call it, we all know it and we hate it.  It is the point where you start to doubt what you are doing and question why you are working so hard for seemingly nothing.  How quickly we forget the progress we have made up until these points.  I think self doubt, or in my case my inner Fat Chick, tries to convince us that what we are doing is all in vain and that this is a good as it gets…that we have lost all we are going to lose and might as well go back to our old ways.

This self sabotage is why I have yo yo’d with dieting and my weight all these years.  I have given up whenever it gets hard and I have a bad week or two despite my efforts.

I keep mentioning that this time my story is different…and I sincerely mean that.  I did not fall off the wagon.  I was frustrated, I craved bad foods, I shed a few annoyed tears, I felt disappointed, but I kept going.

So now the result of my pushing through two craptastic weeks came today.  The weigh in today marked the end of month 2 for me.  I have to say I love going in and having the nurse think her scale is broken because of how much I have lost.  This happened once before, and it is the best feeling ever!

She set the scale at my weight from last weekend, 312, and had me step on.  Slide….Slide…Slide….SLIDE…finally that scale balanced at 300.5!  That is right my Fit Chick readers…11.5 pounds lost this week!  Here are my 2 month stats.  You can compare to first month here.

Pounds lost this week: 11.5 lbs

Pounds lost so far: 33 lbs

Current Weight: 300.5 lbs

Inches Lost: 33 inches overall entire body

Decreased BMI: From 52 to 47
