Motivation Monday

13 Aug

I was tweeted the following yesterday:

“Any good tips that you could give me to get my butt into gear would be gratefully received. I need inspiration!”

First off, I am honored to be asked for advice and to be asked to inspire.  I have never been a go to source for health and fitness.

This was a toughie when I first read it.  I think inspiration is pretty basic and easy to find, but motivation is extremely personal.  I decided to just go with the two pieces of advice that I feel are important to me.  I wanted to share what I said with you all as a little potential motivation on this Monday.

  • Life is better lived healthy and fit. Take care of your body..  It’s the only one you have.  Why not live life with more possibilities  more joy, and more ease?

This is one of the quotes that got me going early on!

  • Start with what you have. I started by walking.  That did not cost me a penny to start doing. I then bought a $30 kettlebell.  Ten weeks in, and I am still progressing with these two tools.  For a $30 investment, I am improving my life!

This was a major motivator to not make excuses for not having certain equipment, gear or time.

I hope that if these two motivators do not do it for you, that they will at least get you thinking about what motivates you and that you either start or keep going!

Don’t forget to enter the giveaway!

Stay strong and keep moving,

Hey! We’ve tweeted & you’ve put my tweet on your blog! I’m honoured. I did an exercise DVD yesterday, have rested today & will drag my carcass out of bed before work tomorrow morning for more of the same. I,ve eaten a lot healthier for the past 2 days, so hopefully, progress is being made. I’d like pre-child & post natal depression me back, please! 🙂
