What A Difference 90 Days Make

25 Aug

It was 3 months ago that I embarked on a journey to reclaim my life from food.  I had the highest of hopes that this would finally be it for me, and had enough fear that it might not happen, to make me give it everything I had.  I was sick of being fat.  I was tired of food cravings running my life.  I was over being uncomfortable being me.  I said this was it for me.  That this time there was not an option to fail, quit, or be weak.

The progress I have made in the last 3 months has been beyond what I could have ever hoped for or expected.  I am more driven than I was on day 1.  I know now that I CAN do this with hard work , willpower, and determination.  Now there is nothing for me to blame if I fail, except for me!

So here I am posting my 90 day update!  I weighed in today and have lost another 4 pounds.  My 90 day stats are as follows:

Pounds lost this week: 4 lbs

Pounds lost so far: 44.5 lbs

Current Weight: 289 lbs

Inches Lost: 43 inches overall entire body

Decreased BMI: From 52 to 45

I am beyond thrilled with my results.  I have never in my life lost this much weight (excluding when I took fen/phen years ago.)  I am utilizing protein supplements and a calorie/food restrictive diet, but I am learning about nutrition and exercise along the way.  I know that I have to learn how to eat healthily and exercise to continue progressing, as well as maintain the progress I have made thus far.  I have thoroughly enjoyed learning and getting to know so many new people.

I hope you all stick with me during the next leg of this journey!

Please share where you are at in your journey (needing to start, just starting, smack dab in the middle, or maintaining).  I love to hear from you all!

Thanks again for being my FitFam!

Stay Strong and Keep Moving,

Impressive! Congrats on your hard work because you are proof that if you want it bad enough, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. I am 2 years into my journey and have lost over 100 pounds. I am actually 5 pounds lighter than you are right now. I’ve had my ups & downs but every day I try to do better. I am healthier and fitter than probably ever as an adult. I still have a long way to go but it doesn’t seem so daunting anymore. Even though I know that it will take time, I now know that I can do it.

Way to go Jen, you can and will do it! There is nothing like the feeling you get from being a Fit Chick. It makes me happy to see that you have discovered health & fitness at a much younger age than me. The world is amazing when you are eating well & working out. Stay strong & have an amazing week…..Jane

WOW ! All the hard work and dedication you put into this journey are really paying off. Good work and keep on going ! Two months into my own journey, I hit the -25 lbs mark today. After having plateau-ed for almost two weeks, my weight has been in free fall since last Thursday .. not that you’ll hear me complain 🙂 I love reading about your progress so keep on blogging as well 🙂
