So sorry for being MIA lately.  Life has just been, well life.  I have been very busy with work, had a sick baby, and have just lacked motivation to blog.

I am back and at it though fearless FitChick followers.

The good news is that, I have not slacked on fighting the good fat fight.  I owe you all 2 weekly weigh in updates.

Last week I was down 2 pounds despite PMS.  This was amazing news to me and the first time I had managed to lose lbs despite the fun hormonal business that goes down each month.

Side note on this topic: After having extremely irregular (non-existent at on point) cycles, I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago.  Since I started getting fit and healthy in June, I have had the shortest (almost normal length) most consistent cycles that I can remember having in my life.  This is proof that healthy living and exercise really do have positive effects on your hormonal health.

This week I was down 6 pounds.  This has me down 52.5 pounds in 14 weeks.  I indulged yesterday and today a bit.  My parents were in town and we got bbq to go last night.  My plan was make a salad with a little bbq meat and sauce.  I did that but also ate a couple of dollups of potato salad.  I have to say this was the most enjoyable “non-plan” meal I have had to date.  I guess you can take the girl out of the south but you can’t take the south out of the girl.  I still LOVE bbq and all the sides.  I ate a bbq salad with a couple of spoons of potato salad for lunch today too.  The leftovers are gone at this point and I am glad.  I had it…I loved it…and I am moving on from it.

I have revamped my kettlebell circuit since I blogged last.  I have made 2 ciruits that seem to be pretty balanced on the targeted muscles.  I did not increase weight…yet, but let me tell you the change up to the exercises was enough to kick my butt!

    So glad to see you are well & haven’t given up the fight to become fit. Congrats on the weight loss. Never lose sight of the final goal, it is so totally worth it. Love the photo of Tink! What a doll baby! Have a great week……Jane

    Wow!! is that your baby?? CUTE!!!!! Also, I’m super interested in the kettle bell workouts. We use them at crossfit but at home I am clueless!

      Thanks so much! She is my baby girl! I just posted the kettlebell workout last night. Check it out and let me know what you think. I found that the web is an amazing tool for learning the different exercises, then practice in front of a mirror.

      I always practice before getting into my workout when I am trying new exercises.
