Nice Day for A White Wedding

22 Sep

No I am not attending a wedding today and no I am not getting married either…considering I don’t plan on becoming a polygamist.

It is a “Nice Day for A White Wedding” because I have crossed another goal off my list! I lost 4 lbs this week making my current weight 275 lb! This is what I weighed 9 years ago when I married my husband. So, let’s officially mark this bad boy off this list!

  • 318- what I weighed when I found out I was pregnant (should make this one hopefully this week)
  • 299-officially out of the God-Awful 300’s!
  • 275-What I weighed when I got married to my wonderful husband.
  • 250-Midway to being out of 200’s.
  • 235-What I weighed after 1 year of dating my husband.
  • 220-What I weighed when I met my husband.
  • 199-Officially out of the dreaded 200’s!
  • 185-What I weighed when I graduated from high school.
  • 160-My ultimate goal. I do not even ever remember weighing 160 unless it was in middle school on my way up in weight.

I do think it is a raw deal that how you look and how your body is proportioned at a certain weight no longer applies when you return to that weight. I am still a size larger than I was this time 9 years ago. This just motivates me to keep working on my body with my killer kettlbell tabatas.

Pounds lost this week: 4 lbs

Pounds lost so far: 58.5 lbs

Current Weight: 275 lbs

Inches Lost: 51.75 inches overall entire body

Decreased BMI: From 52 to 42

As you can see, I am sporting my first ever pair of compression capris. I made this purchase for 2 reasons. I hate having loose legged bottoms on when I workout, and I wanted you all to see the good, the bad, and the flabby when I take my monthly pictures. It makes it easier to visually see the progress each month.

I purchased a 25lb kettlbell today for my two-handed moves. This is up from the 15lb one I was using…I think it may kill me. I am excited for the challenge as my 15 pounder has not been doing it for me on my two handed exercises. I have become a glutton for soreness. If I don’t have sweat, if I am not huffing and puffing, and if I don’t have some minor soreness the following day, I get annoyed wondering what I actually did to benefit myself.

For anyone out there who is struggling with their weight, I want you to know that you can do this too. There is not a magic diet, pill, or gimmick out there. I could have accomplished the same results on any of the hundreds of diets that I have tried over the years. The difference this time is that I want this and I won’t ever stop working for it. It won’t be over when I get to my goal weight. I will still have to put down the fork and get off my butt to keep off the weight and to be fit. Hang in there and want this! Want it as much as you can possibly want something!

Tell me how your journeys are going. Are you training for something specific or do you have a specific goal in mind?

Stay Strong and Keep Moving,

You have really made great progress and I’m so happy for you! I’m going to start tracking on my blog beginning tomorrow my measurements as well. I keep it on file at work, but seeing you post has inspired me to put it on here as well 🙂 I also love how you have your goals broken completely down into steps. I LOVE tracking progress and meeting goals that way!

Also about the “magic pill” comments, I couldn’t agree with your statement more! So many people out there are looking for that quick fix to get them where they want to be. I always tell my clients, “You didn’t gain it overnight, why would you expect to drop it that quickly?”

For myself, I’m not training for anything in particular. I’m just trying to be the best role model I can possibly be for my clients and children. I suppose my closest goal is to end this new year as a “smaller”, healthier and better me. I want to be my OWN advertisement come New Years so I can show women that investing in a healthy lifestyle is the best way to achieve their weight loss resolutions and not to buy into all those gimmicks out there.

Thanks for being an awesome role model to the women you help out! That is so good that you are willing to practice what you preach so to speak. Thanks for all the encouragement and support! I know you can ring in the New Year fit and fab!
