We have a winner!!! Congratulations to Kassie for winning the Fizzy Fitness coffee mug giveaway!!!
Kassie is a fellow blogger over at her little slice of bloggerland, Southern Girl Gets Fit, and she is just too cute for words. Besides being adorbs, she has started a great challenge called Operation Red Bikini. She purchased herself a red bikini for summer as motivation. The premise of the challenge is to pic something that is a goal and motivates you… a certain size clothing, to wear shorts in public for the first time in years, rock a sleeveless shirt, etc. You set that as your goal and go for it.
I have been wanting to participate, but have been stuck on what I want my motivator/goal to be. It will most definitely not be a bikini as my husband is the only one required to see me in that scarce amount of clothing and not run away in terror. However, I love to swim, and this year Tink should be a blast at the pool. So, I decided that my goal is to rock a non-grandma inspired swim suit. I don’t know what suit that is yet, but it cannot look like an 80 year old woman could pull it off.
Thanks to all of you who participated in the giveaway! Rafflecopter made it so easy, that I will be working on something else fun to giveaway in Feburary.
Weekend round up and weigh in will be coming at you tomorrow. I was pressed to get this post out with a crazy little Tink who just would not go to sleep and only wanted momma…who can say no to that.
In the meantime think about what your proverbial red bikini would be and share in the comments below!
Stay Strong and Keep Moving,
That is a good way to boots up your motivation. Even though I would love to fit in a small bikini my goal would be to fit in a lovely small dress that I had bought online a long time ago but it arrived at a very smaller size. I would be great if I fit into that dress someday. 🙂
Awesome goal chick! I want to see a pic when you fit in that dress because I know you will!
thanks sweety 🙂 maybe I will next summer, I will definitely post a picture if i do.
I’ve been stuck on my ORB goal too… Not a bikini… at least not until AFTER my skin surgery and 50 more lbs lost. haha. Maybe a size 12 pants. I can’t EVER remember being smaller than a 14. i’m pretty sure I jumped from 14-16 in girls to a 14-16 in women’s. So yes…. that shall be my goal. a pair of size 12 pants. LET’S DO THIS!
Awesome goal!!! My longer term ORB would be out of the 20’s in pants. I started as a size 30 and am currently a 24. Keep me posted on your skin surgery as it gets closer. I am sure I will be doing the same thing in the future and don’t know a lot about it.
HAHA! Love the Zach Galafinakis photo. Recommendation for the swimsuit would be one of the retro styles that are so popular right now (Hallelujah!)… They have a super flattering cut on the leg and bum, and if you get the kind with an adjustable halter situation, they help with the “girls” too…Check out ModCloth. They have awesome vintage-inspired swimwear and they have great size range too… Hope that helps.. 😉
Thanks so much for the recommendation! I will certainly do that! I was definitely thinking I want a Marilyn look not a Zach. 😉
I haven’t picked my swimsuit out yet, but my family and I are relocating from the US to the Pacific West Coast of Ecuador where it is virtually 80 year round and almost always bikini season.
Yeah, that was enough motivation for me! 50 more pounds to go!
I found your blog via Mamma Laughlin. The bikini goal is a great idea! I know I won’t be wearing a biking by summer, but buying a cute bathing suit (in a smaller size) would be great motivation!
I love this! I am on Operation Bike Shorts… for a 45 mile hike in the Grand canyon this Sept…. No way these thighs are being seen in bike shorts at this point of time!
i love the retro inspired suits, so cute and flattering!. For me, I would love to be able to rock a bikini, but I haven’t decided if that’s going to happen yet. My belly is just not the same after 5 kiddos, so it may be a sexy tankini for me. 🙂
My goal is to wear a ank top on vacation without the bat wings flapping…come on kettlebell workouts.
