They Can’t All Be Winners

This has been a weekend of meh… As in not terrible, but not jump in the air click my heels together fantastic either.

  1. Saturday was weigh in day…no loss, but no gain…meh.
  2. I had to make an appearance at the office for a few hours.  I did learn some interesting information but it was still on a Saturday…meh.
  3. I ate a burger and fries at Chili’s.  I ordered the most basic burger they had with no cheese and nothing fancy.  I just really wanted a burger and fries…It was not great and cost me 1060 calories…meh.
  4. I napped instead of working out Saturday afternoon, planning to workout that night…meh.
  5. Food prepped within an inch of my life on Saturday night to the tune of nearly 3 hours of cooking.  That ended up giving me the excuse of being too tired to workout…meh.
  6. The dinner I have made for the entire week, while good, failed to excite my taste buds.  Leaving me less than thrilled about dinners this entire week…meh.

All that meh aside, I had a great week leading up to this weekend and plan on kicking this weeks rear in the same fashion.  The yays to my mehs were:

  1. I did not go over my daily calorie allowance once this week.
  2. I worked out 4 days this week, and I wanted to do it!
  3. I jogged ya’ll.  If you follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook you probably saw the post.  Last year when I started this trek, I could not run…as in at all.  I had some sort of slow motion fat flopping red faced hyperventilating shimmy that I would attempt and maintain for 2.5 seconds.  That was it.  My time was a 20 minute mile.  By the end of the summer, I was able to huff and puff myself to a 16 minute mile and jog for about 20 seconds before I would about collapse from lack of oxygen.  Thursday night was gorgeous!!!  I rushed home threw on the sneaks and hit the pavement.  I was able to run for the entire length of time the C25K app told me too.  I was cussing that calm cool collected voice to hurry the BEEP up and say walk already, but I did not stop jogging until she would coo “Begin walking”.  HUGE Victory for me.  Weather got craptastic after that, and now I am itching for pretty weather so I can push myself further.
  4. I did not gain weight.  I know this was in the first section, but that scale did not go up this week, so I am counting it as a victory as well.
  5. My lunch I prepped is fantastic.  Making up for the blah dinner.
  6. Tink is hilarious and so intelligent, and she makes every day freaking awesome.

I hope you all had a great weekend.  I will take a weekend full of meh over a weekend full of drama and stress.  Anything new or exciting, crappy or dramatic going on in your neck of the woods?

    ^^ My question, also. What week of the C25K are you on? I’m at Week 3, but I’ve slowly been working my way through those 3 weeks instead of jumping forward too soon.

    Oh my goodness, the side by side picture! Your face looks so much slimmer! I am also glad I read every word of this post because I had NO IDEA there was a C25K app. I was over here trying to count out the minutes I”m supposed to run and walk. Difficult and annoying when I’m barely able to breathe. So the app is going to be my best friend! Thank you!
